About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring for Financial Operations Support in Jersey City, NJ. As an Operations Specialist, you will provide Operational support to the Capital Markets business within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. The team collaborates with stakeholders in Operations, IT and the Business to analyze, define and deliver the Technology and Operational processes. Members of the team are expected to take leadership roles in the various programs as well as to take personal accountability for delivering first class solutions and products. The Settlement team for CMCPR team have a high level of interaction with Business Specialists (Financial Advisors), Branch Management, Compliance and Risk Teams. The team is also the liaison between the field and the businesses unit / trading desk. On a day-to-day basis, the team member manages conflicting events that occurs throughout the day. The Settlement team is responsible for managing the day-to-day support of the trade lifecycle including the trade settlement across various asset classes and trade matching platforms. This role entails heavy interaction with both internal and external financial advisors, the Core Settlements departments, MSWM trading desks, and external market centers and counterparties.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree
A minimum of 2 years of financial services industry experience
Settlement Experience (FED, US Treasury, DTC)
General knowledge of financial markets and investment products, specifically Trade Settlements. (DTCC, Fed, Government).
Great written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated with a high degree of attention to detail
Ability to adapt in fast paced environment with focus on innovation and flexibility
Efficient time management skills and ability to prioritize competing urgent tasks
Team player with the ability to work effectively in a team or independently
Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge
Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills
Ability to think and act like an owner
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
