About The Position

The accounting manager oversees monthly accounting and finance activities related to business operations for their division. The manager will supervise the month-end close process and oversee the preparation of monthly operating reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets. This position will be a Hybrid work model based out of our corporate office in Franklin, TN. Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel formulas (VLookup, pivot tables, ad hoc financial modeling)
  • Familiarity with general ledger / accounting software (experience with Sage Intacct is a plus)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to use technology to collect, manipulate data, determine significant findings, and clearly present information
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects while maintaining accountability under strict deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of accounting experience

Nice To Haves

  • CPA preferred
  • Public Accounting experience preferred
  • Multi-site healthcare experience is a plus
  • Experience in fast growing private equity backed company preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the day-to-day operations of accounting and finance in a fast-paced growing healthcare environment.
  • Oversees the month-end close process and leads the accounting team to provide accurate and timely data.
  • Oversees the preparation and review of forecasts, budgets, and financial statements.
  • Provides support to the operations team so they can make timely, impactful decisions.
  • Analyzes general ledger variances and suggests corrective action to meet financial objectives.
  • Develops action plans, proposes efficiency improvements, and identifies opportunities for cost reductions for their division.
  • Reviews revenue and expenses, analyzes financial data, prepares ad hoc reports, maintains internal controls and other best practices, and reports activity to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supervises and mentors accounting staff and seniors, including conducting performance evaluations, coordinating training programs, and identifying training needs.
  • Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
  • Performs regular analysis of business outcomes vs prior period actuals and budget.
  • Assists in the planning and implementation of various business processes in order to improve and support business processes and activities.
