About The Position

The Financial Coordinator Part-Time processes vendor invoices and maintains accurate financial records. This role supports the accounting team by performing accounts payable functions, assisting with month-end activities, and maintaining strong relationships with internal departments and external vendors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or finance experience preferred.
  • Experience with accounting systems (Microix and MIP)
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information discreetly.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • English language proficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation when applicable.
  • Code invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts and departments.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9 forms and payment information.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding items.
  • Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems for accounts payable documents.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
