About The Position

Deepwater Corrosion Services, Inc. is a global leader in subsea corrosion control, supporting critical infrastructure across offshore oil & gas, coastal terminals, and offshore wind markets. With operations in the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, and Australia, we specialize in the design, manufacture, and installation of retrofit cathodic protection systems, as well as corrosion engineering and inspection services. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on Financial Controller to lead our Houston accounting function and help drive operational excellence across our global business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing accounting teams
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, consolidations, and internal controls
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
  • Experience with international operations and intercompany accounting strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead all daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger activities
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting processes
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and company policies
  • Oversee multi-currency consolidations, foreign exchange accounting, and intercompany eliminations
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition, accruals, reserves, prepaid expenses, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Analyze financial and operational performance, including budget and forecast variances, trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Coordinate annual budgeting and monthly forecasting activities across multiple business units and locations
  • Maintain audit-ready supporting schedules, reconciliations, and documentation
  • Partner with external auditors and advisors on audits, technical accounting matters, and process improvements
  • Support tax-related activities including sales/use tax, VAT, franchise tax, and other regulatory filings
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance staff while fostering a collaborative, accountable team culture
  • Drive process improvements and strengthen financial systems and controls
