About The Position

CapeShore Group is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to own finance for its growing payments business and build the systems that support rapid growth. CapeShore is building a Merchant of Record platform for e-commerce and telehealth businesses. The role offers ownership of the finance function, direct work with leadership, and the opportunity to shape finance as the business scales.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in accounting and finance, including ownership of financial close and controls.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in payments, merchant acquiring, Merchant of Record, PayFac, or fintech operations.
• Proven experience reconciling processor settlements through bank deposits and merchant payouts.
• Strong Excel, accounting systems, and cash-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile high-volume payments across processors, MIDs, banks, and merchants, including fees, reserves, refunds, and chargebacks.
• Lead month-end close, financial reporting, cash forecasting, and multi-entity accounting.
• Manage merchant settlements, payouts, liquidity, and financial controls.
• Deliver profitability reporting by merchant, processor, and entity.
• Build scalable, automated finance and reconciliation processes.
