The Financial Consultant interacts professionally with internal and external clients via email, phone, and in-person. Key responsibilities include managing marketing/RFPs for self-funded TPA and stop loss submissions, preparing and reviewing proposals, and updating marketing results. The role also involves initiating reviews of fully insured and self-funded renewals, analyzing plans, costs, contributions, and contract terms, and providing recommendations. Partnership and negotiation with carriers are crucial, as is maintaining relationships with carrier and vendor partners. The consultant will provide analysis for benchmarking, contribution, disruption, network, stop loss deductible, and GeoAccess. They will also provide underwriting cost projections for self-funded medical/Rx, dental, and vision products, and develop and communicate self-funded IBNP analysis. Assessing risk and funding structures, such as fully insured vs. self-funded analysis, and presenting findings to clients are also key duties. The role requires analyzing data for inconsistencies and trends, providing written and oral summaries to the Client Executive, and building/customizing reports. Client presentations will be prepared and delivered with direction from the Client Executive. Additionally, the consultant will provide mentorship to analysts and perform technical reviews of their work.
