About The Position

The Financial Center Manager Associate (FCMA) participates in a comprehensive, customized onboarding and education program designed to prepare successful candidates for a Financial Center Manager role. The program includes rotations in Operations, Sales & Service, Lending, Small Business, Preferred, and Sales & Operations Management. After successfully completing the training program, the associate is placed in a Financial Center. The associate learns to deepen Consumer and Small Business customer relationships, deliver a memorable customer experience, apply consultative selling, and develop an integrated book-of-business strategy. The role also develops skills in sourcing, coaching, and leading a team and collaborating with business partners. It includes assisting with employee feedback and development. The position is based in a normal office environment in Austin, Texas, with periodic travel within the Bancorp footprint for meetings or training and extended viewing of computer screens.

Requirements

College degree or at least two years of leadership experience in a sales environment.
Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication.
Ability to analyze credit and financial information.
Ability to execute and coach sales activities successfully.
Business acumen.
Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions.
S.A.F.E. Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) is required at the time of employment.

Responsibilities

Complete the FCMA roadmap and all onboarding activities from the first day through program completion, including successful completion of a Consultative Selling Skills Certification.
Develop proficiency in deepening Consumer and Small Business customer relationships by providing a memorable customer experience.
Learn and maintain working knowledge of Fifth Third products, services, processes, and internal resources to stay informed and guide and lead the team.
Develop consultative sales skills to identify the financial needs of current or prospective customers and recommend appropriate solutions.
Learn to develop an integrated book-of-business strategy so customers across all channels receive a Financial Needs Assessment (FNA) and are assigned to the best banker for ongoing proactive support.
Learn to source, develop, coach, and lead a team that reinforces the company's Core Values and business strategies.
Help cultivate a One Bank culture through proactive collaboration with business partners.
Participate in activities that benefit the communities served.
Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies and procedures, modeling expected ethical behavior.
Assist in providing employees timely, candid, and constructive feedback; support employee development and career growth; and recognize and reward employee accomplishments.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
