Our Newest Opportunity: Summary: The Financial Benefits Consultant supports all aspects of financial analysis related to OneDigital’s largest and most complex clients. The Financial Benefits Consultant works closely and collaboratively with other members of the financial support team to provide support to Account Manager(s) and Benefits Consultant(s). The Financial Benefits Consultant is responsible for independently producing financial deliverables and effectively presenting them to clients.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, required; Business, Finance, Math, Accounting, or related field, preferred
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products, required
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, required
  • License required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the healthcare industry working for a group insurance carrier, broker or consultant, preferred
  • Knowledge of group insurance including medical, CDHP, pharmacy, dental, vision, life and disability products, strongly preferred
  • Experience with database applications, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Drafts and reviews accurate exhibits for quarterly and annual client meetings
  • May assist the Benefit Consultant with carrier negotiation process
  • Mentors junior team members
  • Drafts and reviews monthly reporting deliverables for clients.
  • Drafts and reviews client utilization reports using various reporting methods (i.e. carrier data, analytics platforms such as Springbuk)
  • Drafts and reviews cost projections for renewals and benefit plan offerings.
  • Analyzes data and identifies opportunities for plan design and product changes, based upon observed utilization patterns and can run Actuarial Values to calculate cost impact
  • Calculates premium equivalent rates and assists with contribution analysis
  • Calculates Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) reserves analysis and can communicate directly to client.
  • Analyzes industry benchmarks and drafts information for the client to show their competitiveness in the industry.
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with carrier partners
  • Maintains accurate, current, organized, and complete market information in internal databases
  • Assists team and clients as necessary with special projects
