About The Position

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is seeking an energetic and passionate individual to play a key role as a Financial Associate/Administrative Professional 1 within the Division of Parks & Watercraft. This position is located at Salt Fork State Park in Guernsey County. ODNR manages Ohio's state parks, wildlife land, and water, employing a diverse range of professionals. Requirements

  • 18 months of experience or training in accounting and/or finance, including basic experience in spreadsheet software.
  • OR completion of a high school technical program in accounting; 6 months of experience or training in accounting or finance, including basic experience in spreadsheet software.
  • OR completion of an associate core program in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs fiscal related duties for multiple parks, including preparing, compiling, processing, and verifying statistical, financial, accounting, and/or auditing information for accounts payable and receivable.
  • Performs accounting duties such as contacting suppliers for account information and accessing financial data to answer general or specific account questions.
  • Provides administrative and secretarial support for Salt Fork State Park, including producing memos and forms, coordinating daily office workflow, and serving as a liaison between management and staff.
  • Coordinates business functions for Salt Fork State Park, such as monitoring budgets, travel, lodging, vendor set-up, expense reports, payroll and timekeeping, vehicle maintenance, and point-of-sale transactions.
