The Financial Asset Manager is responsible for understanding and improving the financial performance of ClearGen’s renewable energy investments. This individual will determine whether assets are performing as expected, identify problems and opportunities, investigate the driving factors, and help ensure that the right actions are taken to improve performance. This is a role for a curious and persistent problem solver who wants to understand what is happening within the assets, why it is happening, and what can be done about it. Financial analysis is the primary tool for that work. The Financial Asset Manager will maintain the corporate asset model, evaluate actual results against budgets, forecasts, and investment base cases, investigate material variances, and connect the numbers to the underlying performance of the assets. Success requires fluency in financial statements and complex financial models, analytical depth, and strong interpersonal judgment. This person must have the confidence to ask direct questions, even when they are uncomfortable, while remaining diplomatic and constructive. They must challenge incomplete explanations, secure clear commitments, follow up consistently, and stay with an issue until it is understood and resolved. As ClearGen’s portfolio grows, this role will help establish the processes, insights, and financial discipline needed to manage a larger and increasingly complex portfolio successfully. The Financial Asset Manager will work across the organization and engage directly with ClearGen’s executives, Board, investment partners, and operating partners. Their work will influence asset performance, operational improvements, future underwriting, financing, capital allocation, and the long term performance of the business.
