About The Position

The Financial Analyst at Big Cedar Lodge will provide critical financial analysis and insights to support our unique hospitality business. The ideal candidate will have a natural sense of curiosity, the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement, the courage to challenge the status quo, and the insight to make strategic recommendations that drive business success.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis.
Exceptional Excel skills to perform financial modeling and analysis.
Ability to identify and understand trends through data and articulate results to all levels of leadership.
Working knowledge of business intelligence applications and/or cloud services (e.g., PowerBI, etc).
Proficient in Microsoft suite of programs including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree or professional certifications (CFA, CPA) preferred.
Demonstrated financial acumen and/or experience in the areas of forecasting, budgeting and analysis.
A self-starter with the ability to meet tight deadlines, balance competing priorities and achieve results in a rapidly changing work environment.
Ability to identify, recommend and implement process improvement in daily functions.
Effective communications skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of TM1 software is a plus.
Comfort working with complex data tables a plus.

Responsibilities

Create and refine complex financial models that forecast business performance.
Regularly prepare detailed reports on financial performance and provide strategic recommendations.
Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads.
Rigorously analyze costs and spending, making recommendations for efficiencies and savings.
Act as a key finance partner to business units, proactively providing financial insights and support.
Evaluate potential investments using financial modeling to assess risk and potential returns, and present findings.
Continuously seek and identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
