About The Position

The Financial Analyst will support the newly formed Accounting Group which is part of the Specialty Loss Group (SLG). The role of Financial Analyst includes but is not limited to the evaluation of financial and operational information, organizing data, and assisting with the preparation of reports and financial calculations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and energetic professional who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and collaborating within a team environment. The position requires strong Excel skills, organization, critical thinking, and the ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively. The analyst will work closely with internal teams to review financial information, summarize results, and support various client and operational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree – Preferred degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in the Insurance Industry
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Experience working with financial statements, accounting data, or operational reporting preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial statements, accounting records, and operational data to identify trends, variances, and key findings
  • Organize and summarize large amounts of data in a clear and concise manner
  • Assist in reviewing claim-related financial information and supporting documentation
  • Prepare spreadsheets, summaries, and reports using Excel and other internal systems
  • Support the preparation of financial projections and loss calculations as needed
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis projects and reporting requests
  • Communicate findings verbally and in written form with clarity and professionalism
  • Assist in preparing client-facing reports and supporting schedules
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency in all work products
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and leadership on assignments and project deadlines
  • Maintain organized workpapers, documentation, and electronic files
  • Demonstrate strong time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture
  • Show flexibility and willingness to support evolving business needs and deadlines
