About The Position

The Financial Analyst partners closely with the Sales team to obtain timely, accurate financial information, support billing/invoicing and revenue processes, and maintain strong month-end close disciplines. This role is responsible for accounts payable (AP) entry, revenue recognition (including accruals and deferrals), cost accruals, and the preparation of monthly management reports using Acumatica (ERP) and related reporting tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or relative fields
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience in accounting or finance role with a strong grasp of GAAP (ASPE or IFRS) - Must
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • In the process of obtaining CPA (advantage)
  • Experience working with Acumatica (ERP) (advantage)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post revenue recognition entries, including revenue accruals and deferrals; reconcile related accounts and investigate variances.
  • Prepare and post cost accruals and other month-end journal entries; maintain supporting schedules and ensure timely reversal in subsequent periods.
  • Complete monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and P&L accounts; identify issues, propose corrective actions, and follow through to resolution.
  • Support month-end close timelines by coordinating deliverables with Sales and other departments, tracking open items, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Prepare monthly management KPI reports
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes; document procedures and help implement ERP enhancements and controls.
  • Perform other ad hoc analysis and tasks as assigned by Director of Finance.
