About The Position

Providing direct support to the Western Canada Finance team, the Finance Coordinator will work closely with finance and operational personnel at GFL Environmental Services. In this contract role, you will balance a diverse portfolio of responsibilities including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), month-end processes, and specialized support for the region. Possessing strong analytics, you are comfortable working through various accounting and finance functions within an organization and have a detail-oriented, proactive approach.

Requirements

3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
High level of data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
Able to support closure on a tight schedule and provide timely results.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.

Nice To Haves

A degree in Finance or Accounting is considered an asset.
Microsoft Suite, Workday, and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for all fuel card management, including issuing new cards, handling transfers, and managing updates.
Fuel and Utility vendor account reconciliations.
Creating and managing PO’s including vendor setups and invoice entry.
Assisting AR with adjustments, refunds, and reporting.
Preparation of journal entries and other month-end assistance.
Other duties as required.
