About The Position

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial reports, dashboards, forecasts, and cost analyses to support organizational and program decision-making. This role involves monitoring financial performance against approved budgets, conducting monthly actual-to-budget variance analyses, and serving as a primary point of contact for program budgets, financial reporting, revenue invoicing, and funder-related fiscal inquiries. The analyst will also capture data, create reports, prepare and submit revenue invoices, coordinate accounts receivables, input charges into accounting software, and perform administrative duties related to financial documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Four or more years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Experience implementing compensation (billing and collecting) with contracts.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; intermediate level Excel skills.
  • Experience using accounting software.
  • Deadline and detail oriented.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting, which is regulated by generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles under 2 CFR Part 200 and 45 CFR Part 75.
  • Knowledge in governmental fund accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports, dashboards, forecasts, and cost analyses.
  • Monitor financial performance against approved budgets and conduct monthly actual-to-budget variance analyses.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for program budgets, financial reporting, revenue invoicing, and funder-related fiscal inquiries.
  • Capture data and create reports, including general ledger transactions, income statements, balance sheets, and trial balances.
  • Prepare and submit revenue invoices monthly including supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate and monitor accounts receivables aging and collection activities monthly.
  • Input charges monthly into accounting software.
  • Run financial reports monthly and perform monthly actual to budget variance analysis.
  • Create and present quarterly forecasts to AACI management to modify current year contract budgets.
  • Create budgets annually or as needed for new proposals to funders.
  • Assist with month-end accounting close activities such as preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Identify data entry errors and correct them.
  • Provide annual audit assistance, gather necessary account information and documents.
  • Perform administrative duties such as scanning and organizing electronic financial documents.
  • Complete other duties and related projects as assigned.
