About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Director of Financial Reporting, the Financial Analyst performs decision support services and evaluates accounting and financial activities and systems for the Medical Centers. The role includes preparing and analyzing financial information, supporting accounting operations, improving business processes, and providing reporting and analysis for senior management. The position also involves maintaining departmental records, participating in meetings, and communicating with the public about accounting and financial operations.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance.
At least five years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and Access.

Responsibilities

Assist with decision support functions.
Calculate and prepare statistical data, reports, analyses, and monthly, quarterly, and annual surveys.
Build and maintain ad hoc reports in the accounting system.
Evaluate business functions and systems to improve system use and extract and analyze critical data.
Solve business problems and improve processes.
Prepare custom financial reports and dashboards for senior management.
Perform general accounting functions to record Medical Center financial transactions accurately.
Prepare detailed analyses of accounts and processes to ensure accounting work complies with policies and procedures.
Take responsibility for assigned special projects.
Maintain records and filing systems in accordance with departmental standards.
Attend and participate in administrative and other meetings as required.
Communicate courteously with the public by telephone, responding to inquiries or directing calls as appropriate.
Address complaints regarding the Medical Centers’ accounting and financial operations.
Use Excel, Access, and other data analytical programs proficiently.
