About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Director of Financial Reporting, performs a variety of decision support services and evaluations of accounting and financial activities and systems of the Medical Centers. The following statements reflect the general duties of the job as identified and shall not be considered a detailed description of all the work requirements, which may be inherent in the position.

Requirements

BS Degree in Accounting or Finance.
At least five years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and Access is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with decision support functions.
Calculate by formula and prepare statistical data, reports, and analyses as required, including the completion of various monthly, quarterly, and annual surveys.
Build and maintain various ad hoc reports in accounting system.
Evaluate business functions and systems to best utilize systems and to extract and analyze critical data.
Solve business problems and improve processes.
Prepare custom financial reports and dashboards for senior management.
Perform general accounting functions to accurately record financial transactions of the Medical Centers.
Prepare detailed analysis of accounts and processes to ensure the accuracy of all accounting work performed in accordance with policy and procedures.
Assume responsibility of special projects as assigned.
Maintain record keeping and filing system in accordance with departmental standards.
Attend and participate in administrative and other meetings as required.
Communicate courteously to public in answering telephone, responding appropriately, or directing calls to others as necessary.
Address complaints regarding the accounting and financial operations of the Medical Centers.
Work proficiently in Excel, Access, and other data analytical programs.
