About The Position

The Part-Time Financial Analyst is responsible for financial accounting, analysis, and reporting for Central Services and organizations affiliated with the Corporate Sole. The position supports accurate, compliant financial records and reporting, as well as the organization's financial operations and strategic objectives. It is benefit-eligible and is scheduled for 24 hours per week.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• At least 5 years of experience.
• Experience in a medium- to large-sized organization.
• Excellent time-management skills and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter and contribute as a team member.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

• CPA or CPA candidate with public audit experience.
• Nonprofit experience.
• Experience with Access, Great Plains, and Raisers Edge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate month-end closing for Central Services and affiliated organizations, including monthly journal entries, bank reconciliations, financial statements, and account analysis.
• Prepare entries, schedules, and reconciliations for investment activities; analyze investment changes, document additions and withdrawals, assess changes using external market factors, and review transactions involving designated or restricted investments.
• Manage long-term debt schedules, reconciliations, and analysis to ensure accurate accounting and control of payments and balances.
• Manage and approve grant expense and payable transactions and maintain related reports and schedules.
• Assist with reviewing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable to support cash flow.
• Analyze actual results against budget and work with divisional personnel to understand variances.
• Assist with the annual budget process and audit requirements for affiliated organizations.
