About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst assists the department in maintaining a framework for continually measuring financial and statistical performance against quantifiable targets established at all levels of authority, from departmental managers to the Board of Directors. The role prepares and analyzes financial and statistical reports, monitors trends and variances, supports budgeting and financial modeling, maintains accounting-system infrastructure, and performs special projects as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field.
• Five years of financial or accounting experience.

Nice To Haves

• A master's degree in finance, accounting, or business may substitute for two years of the experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial and statistical reports and monitor trends and variances.
• Prepare and analyze reports identifying differences between current actual results, budgeted targets, and prior-year actual results.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses.
• Prepare and analyze existing monthly financial and statistical reports.
• Develop new reports and analyses.
• Maintain the PeopleSoft accounting-system infrastructure, updating it as new accounts and departments are added to the organization.
• Assist in preparing financial models.
• Coordinate, develop, and maintain budget systems.
• Perform special projects as required by the supervisor.
• Participate actively on teams and/or committees as requested by management.
