About The Position

Daniels Health is hiring a Financial Analyst to support its Sturtevant plant operation and wider Midwest business. This plant-based hybrid role is a hands-on finance partner to Operations, Sales, Transport, and Customer Service. The analyst will use operational and commercial data to inform decisions, improve profitability, and identify opportunities across customer profitability, pricing, service models, transport efficiency, operational performance, and growth. The role includes customer, pricing, service-arrangement, and cost-to-serve analysis; evaluation of RFPs, contract renewals, and new-business opportunities; and partnering with Operations and Transport on capacity utilization, service frequency, and cost efficiency. It also supports plant leaders with performance reporting, KPIs, dashboards, and actionable insights; contributes to monthly close and business-unit reporting; and supports budgeting, forecasting, modelling, scenario planning, and business cases. The analyst will investigate data issues and operational bottlenecks and help improve reporting tools, processes, and data quality. The position offers broad exposure to plant operations, sales, transportation, customer profitability, and financial planning, with scope to build capability and take on more responsibility over time. The base salary range is $61,395 to $79,979, with actual compensation dependent on candidate-specific factors.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in public accounting, commercial finance, FP&A, corporate finance, business partnering, or a related analytical finance role.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large, complex, or imperfect datasets.
Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and variance analysis.
Sharp commercial mindset, looking beyond numbers to identify risks, opportunities, and required actions.
Ability to build relationships and explain finance clearly to operational and non-finance stakeholders.
Calm, adaptable, and resilient approach; ability to work through ambiguity, welcome constructive challenge, and maintain a positive outlook when the pace picks up.
Judgment to know when to seek answers, when to listen, and how to build credibility with a broad range of stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to an ERP system; SAP, Enwis/Tegos, or similar experience is beneficial.
Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or another BI/reporting tool is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Turn operational and commercial data into clear, practical recommendations.
Support profitability analysis across customers, pricing, service arrangements, and cost-to-serve.
Evaluate RFPs, contract renewals, and new-business opportunities to help ensure growth is commercially sound.
Partner with Operations and Transport to improve capacity utilization, service frequency, and cost efficiency.
Support plant leaders with performance reporting, KPIs, dashboards, and actionable insights.
Contribute to monthly close, including P&L review, expense analysis, variance commentary, and business-unit reporting.
Support budgeting, forecasting, modelling, scenario planning, and business cases.
Investigate data issues, identify bottlenecks, and help improve operational processes.
Build stronger reporting tools and improve the quality, consistency, and usefulness of business data.
