About The Position

Prairie Capital Advisors is seeking an early-career Financial Analyst to join its Columbus, Ohio team. In this role, you will build financial analysis skills and gain hands-on experience in financial modeling, business valuation, and client advisory work while learning from experienced industry professionals. The employee-owned advisory firm works with middle-market businesses on valuations, investment banking, and ownership transitions. Analysts contribute to client engagements across a variety of industries and collaborate with senior advisors, business owners, and CFOs. The position supports valuations for financial reporting, ESOPs, and corporate transactions. Total compensation is listed as $72,800–$83,200 per year, in addition to a benefits package. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
U.S. citizenship or green card authorization without current or future visa sponsorship requirements.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of accounting or corporate finance experience is preferred.
Interest in pursuing the CFA or ASA designation.
Willingness to travel approximately 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

Build financial models and perform valuation analyses using discounted cash flow and comparable company methods.
Prepare client reports, financial analyses, and presentations.
Work with senior advisors, business owners, and CFOs throughout client engagements.
Support valuations related to financial reporting, ESOPs, and corporate transactions.
Manage project deadlines while collaborating with the team.
