About The Position

The Financial Analyst is a key role in The Marzetti Company’s growing finance department and will contribute to the FP&A group. The position offers the opportunity to build skills and gain experience across Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics. The successful candidate will combine Excel and reporting skills with a willingness to learn the business and develop new capabilities, and will work collaboratively across functional teams to deliver results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of finance or accounting experience.
• Ability to work in a team setting, drive team results, and support organizational change management.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain urgency, and meet required time constraints.
• Trustworthiness and ability to maintain full confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel ability.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a high-energy, fast-paced team to deliver financial analysis that turns data into actionable business insights and supports critical decision-making.
• Prepare and communicate monthly financial results and variance analyses to functional leaders through comprehensive reporting packages.
• Prepare detailed SG&A reporting for R&D, Legal, Finance, HR, and other corporate support functions.
• Analyze consumer marketing spend across Retail and Foodservice business units.
• Execute month-end close responsibilities and work with Accounting to prepare monthly journal entries as needed.
• Support development and execution of the annual operating plan (AOP), aligning financial objectives with evolving business priorities.
• Perform additional financial analysis, reporting, and ad hoc projects as assigned by management.
