About The Position

The Financial Analyst will provide application and analytical support to the Manager, Finance and Capital Markets and the Finance Department. This role involves cash management, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and data valuation using statistical techniques and financial analytical procedures. The analyst will develop core analytical capabilities using advanced statistical, quantitative, or econometric techniques to assist with daily cash positioning, borrowing requests, and budget-to-actual analysis. Responsibilities include defining and developing financial model specifications or data queries, interpreting analysis results for cash flow modeling and forecasting, and supporting the company’s growth and capital planning initiatives through accurate analysis, reporting, and process improvement. The role also involves researching new financial products or analytics, devising or applying independent models to verify analytical system results, managing bank account portals and daily cash positions, performing monthly budget versus variance analysis, and writing queries to build reports for various stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Analytics or Bachelor in Finance or Business Analytics

Responsibilities

  • Provide application and analytical support to the Manager, Finance and Capital Markets and Finance Department in the areas of cash management, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and valuation of data using statistical techniques and financial analytical procedures
  • Develop core analytical capabilities using advanced statistical, quantitative, or econometric techniques to assist the Manager, Finance and Capital markets with daily cash positioning, borrowing requests, and budget-to-actual analysis
  • Define, develop or recommend financial model specifications or data queries and provide reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Interpret results of financial analysis procedures to assist with cash flow modeling and forecasting
  • Supports the Company’s growth and capital planning initiatives through accurate analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
  • Research new financial products or analytics to determine their usefulness and make recommendation for possible adjustments of current systems
  • Devise or apply independent models or tools to help verify results of analytical systems related to borrowing requests to draw funds on revolving line of credit
  • Manage and own the bank account portals, user access, and bank account set up
  • Manage the daily cash position to ensure sufficient liquidity to satisfy daily obligations
  • Perform monthly budget versus variance analysis
  • Write queries to pull data and build reports for internal parties, banking partners, and investors
