About The Position

Amazon seeks a detail-oriented Financial Analyst I to join our AMZL Canada finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for financial planning 1-3 years out, executing the month-end close process, and leading entitlement projects that drive overall cost to serve down for our customers. This hands-on position requires excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills as you'll work across operations and support teams to influence strategic decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to gain well-rounded experience in the last mile space for AMZL while making a significant impact on our financial operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, learns quickly, and can translate complex financial data into actionable insights that support operational excellence and business growth.

Requirements

• 1+ years of finance experience
• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
• 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)

• 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial plans with a 1-3 year outlook, providing data-driven insights that help shape the trajectory of AMZL Canada operations
• Execute month-end close processes with attention to detail, ensuring accurate financial reporting and proactively identifying discrepancies
• Lead entitlement projects by analyzing data, identifying improvement opportunities, and partnering with operations teams to implement solutions
• Report on daily and weekly performance metrics, transforming data into actionable insights for operational leaders
• Influence key stakeholders by communicating financial implications of business decisions, serving as a strategic partner to operations teams to improve execution
