About The Position

The Financial Analyst supports the Trident Alaska Manufacturing division of Trident Seafoods Corporation, an Alaska based seafood manufacturer with a Support Center in Seattle. This position, located at our Seattle Support Center, completes financial analysis of our processing facilities in Alaska, establishes and measures KPIs to validate productivity initiatives, prepares periodic reporting, and supports financial planning.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive finance related experience
  • Four-year degree (B.A.) in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Analytical background and experience working directly in a finance environment modeling revenues, costs, and expenses
  • Experience with an ERP system, such as SAP
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a production/manufacturing industry
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and building complex financial models and P&Ls
  • SAP experience
  • Database (BI design, SQL, Access) experience
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work across departments and geographies
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills, including volume-mix-rate variance analysis

Responsibilities

  • Supports our Operational Excellence team by providing financial forecasting and validation of cost saving and revenue driving projects across Alaska.
  • Work collaboratively with logistics and procurement teams to validate cost saving initiatives across direct, indirect, and transportation & warehousing projects.
  • Generates and distributes weekly/monthly/quarterly spend, inventory, and production reports as needed.
  • Assists manufacturing controllers in preparing plant financials such as pro-forma P&Ls and analyzes various trends and key performance indicators.
  • Assists manufacturing controllers supporting Alaska operations to understand supply and cost rate variances.
  • Supports process improvement projects to update transactional, financial, and reporting processes.
  • Prepares ad hoc reports and analytical projects as requested.
  • Regularly works onsite to build strong team connections, collaborate across functions, and solve problems in real time.
