Requirements

  • Must be a full-time student in a co-op program related to business, finance, or related program.
  • High level of proficiency with Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Working towards a CPA accounting designation would be preferred, but not required – particularly if candidate has strong combined finance & technology background.
  • Some financial services industry experience would be beneficial but is not required.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud EPM / Hyperion applications considered an asset.
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in applying AI‑enabled tools within a financial reporting and analysis environment.
  • Knowledge of VBA would be an asset.
  • Develop specific recommendations for improved use of technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and monthly analyses.
  • Preparing, or assisting other team members in preparing, financial reports to meet the timeliness and quality requirements of both internal and external customers.
  • Leverage AI‑enabled tools and emerging technologies (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini) to enhance reporting quality, efficiency, and insight.
  • Creating meaningful ad hoc reports and analysis utilizing the appropriate source data.
  • Appropriately prioritizing work to respond to the needs of customers.
  • Communicating any potential risks or opportunities to finance customers or the Financial Reporting team.
  • Evaluate current systems/processes, data sources/flows/limitations, and user requirements.
