About The Position

Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with one of the largest companies in the state to help them find a Financial Analyst to join their Corporate Finance team. This position will work in Little Rock and have some flexibility to hybrid. This is an important position that will support operations leadership with high-quality financial analysis, forecasting, and performance insights. The Financial Analyst will be part of a team dedicated to improving the financial performance of the system through forecasting, cost accounting, performance insights, and capital planning. This role is ideal for someone who wants to blend finance, analytics, and data, while working closely with leadership and making a meaningful impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related quantitative field required
  • Approximately 2+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, FP&A, Public Accounting, or closely related areas
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Office Suite, with solid systems/analysis skills and comfort working with large data sets
  • Comfortability with AI
  • Ability to work effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders, explaining data and analysis in clear, practical terms

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly entity-level and department-level financial reviews, summarizing key impacts and recommendations for operations leadership
  • Analyze volume, revenue, and cost trends; identify anomalies and provide follow-up information for investigation and corrective action
  • Review productivity and efficiency metrics for assigned business units or service lines and report issues or opportunities to finance leadership
  • Support annual and periodic forecast processes by coordinating inputs, validating assumptions, and helping compile formal forecast materials
  • Assist with financial planning activities, including capital management, pro forma development, and profitability reporting by business line
  • Prepare and maintain supplemental reporting and presentations for senior leadership and board-level review, as directed by finance leadership
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives by providing data, tracking key metrics, and analyzing results
  • Provide basic technical training and support to operational leaders in their use of financial tools, reports, and management dashboards
