About The Position

The Accountant role is an exciting opportunity to support the accounting functions for the Gentherm U.S. ledger. This role reports to the Gentherm GL and A/R Accounting Manager, U.S. The role offers you the opportunity to make a direct impact on key accounting and finance initiatives and advance your career by quickly gaining experience in a variety of accounting areas. You will work in a collaborative team environment and be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and analysis of the balances and activity on the Gentherm U.S. ledger. You will have the opportunity to bring new ideas for process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Ongoing desire to learn and a commitment to personal development
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products, including strong Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, reconcile, analyze, and review general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month and quarter end close activities.
• Provide support for special projects and ad hoc requests for the Gentherm U.S. accounting team.
• Provide support for technical accounting projects or transactions.
• Participate in identifying and executing continuous improvement opportunities within accounting workflows.
• Work directly with internal and external auditors to provide analyses and any required audit documentation.
