About The Position

This job performs financial and business related research and analysis such as the preparation of forecasts and/or analysis of financial reports, records and trends; develops and maintains spreadsheets and databases to facilitate analysis and reporting; and is responsible for conducting and documenting financial analysis projects. The role involves displaying effective communication skills, coordinating with other departments, and advising management of expected outcomes and recommending ways to improve them. The analyst will conduct presentations to management summarizing financial results and trends, and communicate project status and deadlines. The position requires performing financial and business related analysis, evaluating and interpreting financial and statistical data, and developing/documenting business policies. Special financial and business related studies will be conducted, and cooperation with other departments in the preparation of analyses is expected. The role includes analyzing financial reports and records, providing reasoning for variances, and making recommendations regarding accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures. Independent problem-solving and documentation of recommendations are key. The analyst will facilitate analysis and reporting using computer applications, developing and maintaining spreadsheets and databases, and compiling reports, graphs, and charts. Serving as a project lead for special projects within the department is also a responsibility, which includes gathering data, analysis, documentation of findings, calculation of results, and generation of reports for distribution. Coordination of activities to ensure projects advance properly and are completed within established timeframes is essential, including communication with management and third parties regarding project status and deadlines. Recommendations based on findings will be made when necessary. Other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree
• 7 - 10 years of related progress experience in Accounting and/or Finance including experience in leading projects of varying size and complexity
• Experience with various computer applications to include MS Excel and/or MS Access
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong relationship building skills
• Client focused with strong business acumen
• Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure independently and as part of a team
• Ability to think strategically and act proactively to create strong trust and confidence with business units
• Strong innovative problem-solving capabilities

• Coordinate activities to ensure the project is advancing properly and to ensure the project is completed within the timeframes established.
• Included in this process will be communication with Management at the Organization, subsidiaries, affiliates, other third parties, etc. as to project status and completion deadlines.
• Make recommendations based on findings when necessary.
