About The Position

Under limited supervision, the Financial Analyst develops operational business area budgets and forecasts, performs ongoing analysis and reporting of actual performance against budgets and forecasts, and provides general financial analysis in support of company goals and strategic initiatives. The role supports department and financial management with budget preparation, performance analysis, variance investigation, and reporting.

The position is based in Gulfstream’s Savannah organization, is full-time, and works the first shift. Travel may be up to 25%.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential job functions.
• Two years of experience with increasing financial responsibility.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Effective information organization and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills.
• A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for candidates, including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree preferred.
• Other certification preferred.
• Experience with Power Query and Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist department and financial management in preparing annual budgets and projections.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial performance analysis and reporting.
• Analyze financial performance versus budget and business plan, including identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial analyses and reports comparing actual performance with budgets and forecasts.
• Compile financial information to develop budgets, identify causes of major variances, and ensure the accuracy of actual data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
