About The Position

The Financial Analyst will assist in building a data-driven and analytical culture within the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple financial analysis projects simultaneously. At month-end, this role involves preparing corporate models and providing commentary on budget, projection, and actual variances. The position will also require assisting with other finance and accounting responsibilities and projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Familiarity with Accounting GAAP.
  • Experience in creating and analyzing advanced Excel models.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and mathematical skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects.

Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurately produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate the monthly closing process with the team.
  • Provide support to the Finance Manager regarding accounting compliance (GAAP/FASB).
  • Oversee project accounting operations, including cash management, general ledger, job cost, budget accounting, contract management, A/P, and maintenance of fiscal records.
  • Prepare, maintain, and reconcile the business plan model to the general ledger monthly.
  • Review monthly job cost and financial reporting for necessary changes before month-end.
  • Coordinate with onsite Project Managers to ensure accurate forecasting.
  • Coordinate the Developer's financial management functions in conjunction with the SRV model.
  • Update and maintain short-term cash flow projections, including weekly cash flow and sources & uses as needed.
  • Produce, update, maintain, and monitor accounting procedures at the project level.
  • Support the Finance Manager and Project CFO with lender relationships, maintain draw schedules, and manage pay app/waiver documentation with PMs.
  • Create internal auditing programs/routines to ensure accurate record maintenance and adherence to policies and procedures for the department's annual external audit.
  • Perform any other tasks necessary to accomplish departmental and project goals.
