About The Position

Under minimal supervision, partners with business leaders on financial issues related to their specific area of the organization. This role involves providing financial stewardship, education, and analytical support to all areas of organizational operations. The analyst will collect, analyze, interpret, and present data to operational management and financial staff, understanding the operational and financial issues facing specific areas and partnering with leadership to identify strategies and affect change. They will utilize financial tools for modeling decision impacts (cost-benefit, ROI, etc.), provide customer-service-focused financial services, and maintain/improve financial systems and processes. A specific scope includes the Position Control Analyst role, which involves supporting the evaluation of positions and their budget impact in partnership with HR, the ERP team, and operations, as well as providing analytical support for replacement and new positions and monitoring FTE variances.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, including finance and accounting coursework
  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant position
  • An approved equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Expert knowledge of Excel
  • Experience in Word, Access (relational databases), PowerPoint, General Ledger systems, and other reporting tools
  • Detail and deadline oriented
  • Excellent accuracy in analysis and cost-benefit analysis
  • Ability to assist operational leaders as to their business needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree in Finance or Business (MBA or CPA)
  • Previous healthcare experience

Responsibilities

  • Partners with all areas of organizational operations to provide financial stewardship & education and analytical support

  • Helps to create and support the process for evaluating positions and their impact on the budget. This includes the close partnership with HR, ERP team and operations
  • Partners with HR and operations to provide analytical support on replacement and new positions
  • Report, monitor, and evaluate positions / FTE’s actual to budget variances
