About The Position

This role is responsible for delivering accurate financial insights, developing forecasting models, and guiding leadership in data-driven decision-making. The Senior Financial Analyst ensures financial performance aligns with program objectives, contract requirements, and approved budgets while overseeing daily operations of junior financial staff.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience and Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a related field.
• A minimum of eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may satisfy degree requirements.
• Experience managing and executing at least three of the following appropriations: O&MN, RDT&EN, OPN, SCN funds (or other service equivalent funds).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP), and the Program Budget Information System (PBIS).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage financial analysis projects, forecasting activities, and statistical studies to support contract performance and strategic planning.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate program trends, long-term projections, and investment scenarios.
• Manage monthly financial reporting cycles, including variance analysis, obligation tracking, burn rate analysis, and development of executive-level reports.
• Provide recommendations to leadership on investment opportunities, resource allocation, and project-related financial decisions.
• Supervise and mentor subordinate financial staff, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and continuous professional development.
• Monitor financial performance to ensure contract, department, and project milestones are met while adhering to approved budgets and NAVSEA requirements.
• Support audit readiness, compliance activities, and preparation of financial documentation for internal and government stakeholders.
• Collaborate with program management, contracts, and technical teams to ensure alignment between financial forecasts and operational execution.
