About The Position

This position is with the Ohio Department of Public Safety – Ohio State Highway Patrol. The role involves managing assigned areas of responsibility, enforcing section policies and procedures, establishing priorities, and supervising subordinate personnel. The supervisor will oversee daily work activities by assigning and reviewing work, ensuring subordinates are properly trained to maintain acceptable employee performance. Additionally, the role includes conducting staff meetings, communicating information concerning operations, and maintaining reports concerning section activities and related program reports.

Requirements

54 months of experience or training in accounting and/or finance, including advanced experience in spreadsheet software
Completion of an undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field, AND 30 months of experience or training in accounting and/or finance, including advanced experience in spreadsheet software
Completion of a graduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field, AND 18 months of experience or training in accounting and/or finance, including advanced experience in spreadsheet software
12 months of experience as a Senior Financial Analyst
Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment
Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 months of required accounting/fiscal experience
