About The Position

RingCentral is seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Analyst to support the R&D organization as part of the Product & Technology FP&A team. This role will partner closely with R&D leadership to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and support business decision-making across engineering and product development investments. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally with both finance and technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 2 years of experience in financial analysis or a related role
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with both finance and technical teams.

• experience supporting an R&D, engineering, or technology organization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze R&D financial data and prepare regular reports that highlight trends, variances, and opportunities for the Product & Technology organization.
• Assist in budget preparation for R&D cost centers, monitor performance against budget, and provide financial forecasts in partnership with engineering and product leaders.
• Collect and maintain financial data to update financial models and databases supporting R&D spending and headcount.
• Track and report on R&D financial performance, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as spending against plan, headcount costs, and capitalized R&D costs.
• Evaluate the financial feasibility of new R&D projects and perform financial modeling to support decision-making on resource allocation and investment priorities.
• Provide financial analysis and reports as needed by R&D leadership, the FP&A Director, or other departments.
