About The Position

The Expense Leadership team provides guidance on expense management projects by proposing and reviewing various planned and ad-hoc savings initiatives. The team ensures expense savings initiatives are embedded in the budget and provides insight to senior management on IFC’s general and corporate expenses on a monthly basis. This role is for a Financial Analyst - Management Reporting to join this growing team.

Requirements

  • Professional designation CPA or CFA either completed or in progress
  • 1 to 3 years experience as a financial analyst
  • Advanced proficiency using Excel and Power BI
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fast learning, agility, openness to technological improvements and adaptability to change
  • Can interact with various people at all levels of the organization, including management and some external stakeholders
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.

  • Knowledge of the P&C insurance industry is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Management of internal monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting by working closely with various departments such as other finance teams.
  • Produce corporate expense results and forecasts.
  • Analyze and understand results in collaboration with business partners.
  • Support our business units in the management of their operational expenses.
  • Participate in the financial systems and accounting processes improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the general expenses budget process.
  • Simplify, automate, standardize and increase controls of different work files.
