About The Position

The Financial Reporting Analyst is primarily responsible for the timely and accurate regulatory and financial reporting to internal and external parties, process enhancement for various accounting and reporting matters, and ad hoc tasks or projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in a Financial Reporting or Accounting Role, (e.g. preferably public accounting background and/or hedge fund/financial services background)
  • Extensive knowledge of hedge fund investments and US GAAP requirements for investments-related disclosures, including but not limited to the schedule of investments, fair value measurements/leveling and derivatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and organize large amounts of data in an efficient manner
  • Solid analytical skills and judgment – strong attention to detail
  • Strives to drive continuous improvement
  • Strong technical proficiency (e.g. Excel, Alteryx and general AI knowledge)
  • Ability to multi-task as well as meet short deadlines in a demanding environment
  • Proactive individual with strong interpersonal and client service skills
  • Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work
  • Ability to be flexible and able to work as part of a team to meet project deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation and review of US GAAP financial statements for the MLP master fund and other Millennium entities, with a particular focus on investment-related disclosures (including but not limited to the schedule of investments, fair value measurements/leveling and derivatives)
  • Responsible for reviewing the firm’s holding’s report to ensure accurate and complete monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external reporting. This includes performing monthly analysis and presentation of the firm’s investment results to management.
  • Defining financial reporting requirements in connection with the onboarding of new product types
  • Support interim and annual audits, including responding to information requests from external auditors
  • Preparation of regulatory filings
  • Assist with month-end close responsibilities
  • Identify and make suggestions for efficiencies and improvements when performing work
  • Assist with various ad hoc projects and analysis to support the team
