About The Position

This role leads IT portfolio management and IT financial planning to ensure technology investments align with business strategy and deliver measurable value. You will oversee project portfolios, manage IT budgets and forecasts, drive vendor optimization, and support digital transformation initiatives. Working closely with executive leadership, you will develop governance frameworks, promote project management best practices, and provide clear, data-driven insights through dashboards and executive reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, procurement, or IT financial management.
  • 2–3+ years of project or portfolio management experience in a PMO model preferred.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting skills, with the ability to manage OPEX and CAPEX.
  • Proficiency in IT budgeting, cost accounting, vendor management, and financial forecasting.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP for financial or IT-related processes.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience using Power BI to create dashboards and visual analytics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for preparing executive-level presentations and portfolio updates.
  • Ability to develop and apply governance frameworks and project management methodologies in traditional, Agile, and hybrid environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate ROI, perform cost-benefit analyses, and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with leadership, finance, procurement, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to facilitate stakeholder communication and support informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain IT portfolio management processes, governance frameworks, and project prioritization to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee IT project portfolios, including schedules, budgets, risks, resources, and benefits realization, to ensure projects deliver expected outcomes.
  • Support annual planning, strategic road mapping, and project intake processes to build and maintain a balanced and realistic IT project pipeline.
  • Develop, refine, and promote project management methodologies across traditional, Agile, and hybrid delivery environments.
  • Coach project managers, Scrum Masters, and IT leaders on project execution, governance, and best practices to improve project performance and consistency.
  • Manage IT financial planning activities, including OPEX and CAPEX budgeting, forecasting, chargebacks, and annual budgeting cycles.
  • Monitor budget performance across IT initiatives and ensure compliance with financial policies and procurement practices.
  • Conduct financial analysis, including ROI evaluations, cost-benefit assessments, and financial forecasting, to support investment decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, vendor rationalization, and improved value from IT investments.
  • Partner with leadership, finance, procurement, and vendors to ensure accurate budgeting, billing, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and contract management, including sourcing strategies, contract evaluation, and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with procurement to evaluate contracts, negotiate improvements, and ensure financial accountability with external partners.
  • Drive vendor optimization initiatives while supporting strategic partnership management and long-term vendor relationships.
  • Partner with business and IT leaders to understand priorities, operational challenges, and technology opportunities that support digital transformation.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives by aligning IT investments with business objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Prepare executive-level dashboards, reports, presentations, and portfolio updates that clearly communicate performance and key insights.
  • Facilitate communication and decision-making among stakeholders across the organization to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Lead and develop a team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the IT Project Office.
  • Manage departmental KPIs, OKRs, budgets, and performance metrics, ensuring they are tracked, reported, and used to drive improvements.
  • Build strong relationships across global and cross-functional teams to support coordinated delivery of IT initiatives.
  • Promote innovation, process improvements, and operational efficiencies within the IT Project Office and related functions.
