About The Position

This role partners with the CFO to identify and prioritize projects aimed at improving business operations. Key areas of focus include streamlining month-end closing, enhancing cost allocations, refining accounting and business reporting processes, and analyzing data for trends and insights. The position demands the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with a strong emphasis on customer service, quality work, and administration.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance field demonstrating leadership of people and/or processes.
  • Demonstrates a process improvement mindset and track record of successful project execution.
  • Minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Core understanding of accounting, GAAP, and accounting process flows.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
  • Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce accurate and timely results is required.
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity and professionalism is required.
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment to company values is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced multi-task environment is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance strongly preferred.
  • Existing project management experience preferred.
  • Public accounting experience and/or experience in FP&A and/or business analyst work is a plus.
  • Coins or Viewpoint Software Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop training materials, policies, and procedures to support improved processes.
  • Perform month-end reviews on key accounting/finance areas, potentially including construction project results and overhead accounts for significant changes or metrics.
  • Partner with the CFO in the ERP implementation process, coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and timelines, and holding stakeholders accountable.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of key ERP decision points and considerations.
  • Identify data integrity issues and lead efforts to improve data quality and governance for customer, job, and employee data.
  • Coordinate training from the ERP software provider for internal trainers (train-the-trainer).
  • Evaluate ERP use post-implementation against original objectives, identify gaps/improvements, and build plans for mitigation and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a resource for other departments to drive continuous improvement with the ERP, assisting them in using it for more efficient and effective processes.
  • Document process changes, new policies, and procedures, and distribute them to users.
