About The Position

Mayvin is seeking a Financial Analyst III to support the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), Financial Services Division (FSD), within the Office of Budget Execution (BE). The role performs complex budget execution functions in support of USMS programs and administrative budget areas, ensuring effective financial management and budget oversight. The position is full-time, day shift, located in Arlington, Virginia, with no travel required. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to undergo and pass a background investigation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance.
At least five years of experience reviewing and analyzing annual financial statements and ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures.
At least five years of experience in budget execution during a fiscal-year budget cycle.
Experience analyzing information and making recommendations.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills such as VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be able to undergo and pass a background investigation.

Responsibilities

Advise USMS leadership on budgetary actions, annual spending plans, funding adjustments, and budget reprogramming to address program changes and legislative mandates.
Monitor obligation and expenditure trends and relevant data for assigned districts, divisions, or staff-office program areas.
Maintain complex databases, registers, and other accounting and tracking systems used by the organization.
Conduct program reviews of district and headquarters programs to identify ways to improve business practices and reduce costs.
Prepare budget briefing materials, including inquiry responses, data requests, and execution policy.
