With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system. We are looking to hire a Financial Analyst II to support the Hartford HealthCare system.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree Finance or Accounting preferred OR substituted by 10 + years’ experience in analyzing in a health care background
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and variance analysis
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.2 General Ledger system a positive
  • Kodiak RCA Tool Experience
  • Knowledge of EPIC patient accounting system a positive
  • Proficiency in data tools (e.g., Excel, Pivots, Tableau)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning and improvement

Responsibilities

  • Analyze revenue trends, identify key drivers of financial variance (month-to-month, quarter-to-quarter, year-over-year), and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Develop/Analyze reports for Monitor monthly revenue and AR, Month End.
  • Maintain and monitor month-end file submissions, reconcile subsystems with the general ledger, and ensure compliance with internal controls and deadlines.
  • Capture and report on KPIs, including payment trends, denials, and operational performance, using tools like Kodiak RCA to pinpoint areas of improvement.
  • Provide data, reports, and financial expertise to internal stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor across departments.
  • Partner with teams across the system, lead or contribute to special projects, and bring innovative solutions to complex challenges.
