About The Position

Amazon seeks a detail-oriented Financial Analyst II to join our AMZL Canada finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for financial planning 1-3 years out, executing the month-end close process, and leading entitlement projects that drive overall cost to serve down for our customers. This hands-on position requires excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills as you'll work across operations and support teams to influence strategic decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to gain well-rounded experience in the last mile space for AMZL while making a significant impact on our financial operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, learns quickly, and can translate complex financial data into actionable insights that support operational excellence and business growth.

Requirements

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of Tableau
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial plans with a 1-3 year outlook, providing data-driven insights that help shape the trajectory of AMZL Canada operations
• Execute month-end close processes with attention to detail, ensuring accurate financial reporting and proactively identifying discrepancies
• Lead entitlement projects by analyzing data, identifying improvement opportunities, and partnering with operations teams to implement solutions
• Report on daily and weekly performance metrics, transforming data into actionable insights for operational leaders
• Influence key stakeholders by communicating financial implications of business decisions, serving as a strategic partner to operations teams to improve execution
