About The Position

This opportunity is for the November 2026 Career Accelerator Cohort and is posted as a hierarchy at the Financial Analyst II or Senior Financial Analyst level. Successful candidates will be hired at the level commensurate with their skills and experience. This program helps participants strengthen four key competencies and enhance their professional skills by completing four six-month rotations in Accounting, Finance, Operations or Regulatory departments within the CFO organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in general financial accounting or analysis (for Financial Analyst II).
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in general financial accounting or analysis (for Senior Financial Analyst).
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply GAAP principles.
  • Skills in analysis, problem solving, customer service, and relationship building desired.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CMA or MBA preferred (for Financial Analyst II).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business and legal principles (for Senior Financial Analyst).
  • Knowledge of and experience working with SAP highly desirable (for Senior Financial Analyst).
  • Individuals currently within the CFO organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze financial data to perform some or all of the following accounting or finance processes: budget development, variance reporting, preparation of internal and external reporting packages, participate in and support accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close cycles, reconcile assigned accounts, prepare accounting ledger entries, settle inter-company receivables and payables, and prepare property valuation.
  • Provide financial analysis and support to management for the annual budget process, as well as modeling, analysis and financial support for current year and five-year forecasting.
  • Document key processes of areas assigned to ensure consistency and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide proactive process improvement recommendations and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Assist and/or prepare rate case information as required to support submission. Assist in performing regulatory support for requests or associated schedules.
  • Participate in and support special projects as assigned.
  • May provide work direction and training to other analysts.
