As an integral member of the Tumor Immunotherapy Program, the Financial Analyst I performs a range of entry level professional and detailed accounting requiring basic knowledge and fundamental applications of accounting theory and principles under the monitoring and direction of the Manager and/or Investigators. The Financial Analyst I will be responsible for the timely preparation and submission of sponsor invoices, monitoring and collection of outstanding accounts receivable balances, reconciliation of clinical trial revenues, and processing of internal and external invoices for payment, providing support in the development of clinical trial site budgets. Working closely with Principal Investigators, Clinical Research Coordinators, Sponsors, Contract Research Organizations (CROs), and Finance teams, the successful candidate will ensure that financial transactions are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with UHN policies, clinical trial agreements, sponsor requirements, and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and service-oriented finance professional with strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced research environment. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong financial acumen, and a proactive approach to issue resolution and stakeholder engagement.
