About The Position

This role is for a Finance Analyst I – Operations Finance, a hybrid position based at Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) Headquarters. CCM is a global leader in innovative, sustainable roofing, insulation, and waterproofing solutions. The role offers an opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career finance professional to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, financial planning, and operational analysis. The analyst will partner with plant leadership, operations teams, and business unit finance leaders to analyze performance, identify opportunities, and drive business results. The position involves office-based work with opportunities to visit manufacturing facilities to understand operations and financial drivers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of finance or accounting experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, and working with large datasets
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing, cost accounting, or operations finance experience
  • Exposure to standard costing and variance analysis
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
  • Power BI or data visualization experience
  • Experience preparing presentations and business reports for leadership teams

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly plant performance reports, KPI scorecards, and variance analyses.
  • Analyze manufacturing cost trends, including material usage, labor efficiency, overhead absorption, scrap, and yield.
  • Support plant leadership and the Polyiso Business Unit Controller with financial insights and performance analysis.
  • Participate in plant visits to better understand operations, production processes, and cost drivers.
  • Assist with maintaining and validating standard costs, bills of materials (BOMs), labor routings, and overhead rates.
  • Support annual standard cost updates and cost roll activities.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement teams on raw material cost analysis, freight costs, and tariff impacts.
  • Analyze and explain cost variances, including price, usage, and efficiency differences.
  • Support monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to identify business opportunities and operational improvements.
  • Maintain financial models used for production planning and scenario analysis.
  • Support SOX compliance activities, documentation, and testing.
  • Assist with inventory controls, cycle counts, and annual physical inventories.
  • Help ensure financial data accuracy and adherence to company policies.
