About The Position

Genius Sports is seeking a driven and ambitious qualified accountant for a Commercial Finance Analyst role to join their expanding global Finance team. This position will directly support the commercial team and stakeholders, based in New York. The role is designed to deliver insightful analysis to drive accountability, understand performance, and inform investment decisions, efficiencies, profitability, and value. The aim is to foster a High Support, High Challenge environment to facilitate the group's growth and maturation.

Responsibilities

Support the Senior Finance Business Partner with month-end review and management reporting.
Work with the financial accounting team and business stakeholders to reconcile and ensure correct monthly accruals and postings, mainly focused on revenues.
Create monthly stakeholder management reporting packs, including financials, KPIs, and commentary.
Support the continuous improvement and automation of the accounting and reporting process, including staff payroll and capitalization calculations.
Support the budget and quarterly reforecast process for commercial areas, working with Commercial stakeholders to build and challenge appropriate forecasts.
Create budget and reforecast packs for business stakeholders.
Support the consolidation of monthly financials and KPIs for inclusion in the group board report.
Support in providing monthly commentary and variance analysis in the group board report.
Engage in cross-functional project modeling and management for strategically critical long-term projects and growth areas of the business.
Support the business in building out pricing models and guidelines.
Support in ad-hoc business cases, using finance and business area expertise to build financial models, challenge ideas, and provide relevant analysis to support key business decisions.
