About The Position

An Analyst in the Real Estate, Lodging & Leisure Investment Banking Group in the New York office will work on a variety of active engagements, business development assignments, and growth initiatives. The group offers a unique opportunity for Analysts to work on a variety of projects that provide exposure to various financial advisory and investment banking products and sectors within the real estate industry.

Requirements

An undergraduate degree, including an exemplary academic record, from an accredited institution
Advanced accounting, finance, financial modeling and analytical abilities
Proficiency with Excel (particularly modeling skills) and PowerPoint
A strong interest in real estate
Nuanced understanding of real estate valuation theory, methodologies and applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Be an independent thinker and resourceful problem solver driven to succeed
Have a very strong work ethic, organizational skills and ability to multitask
A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff
Candidates must have a strong knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory, keen analytical capabilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare, analyze and help explain historical and projected financial information
Coordinate and perform business due diligence and execute M&A and capital raising transactions

Value real estate companies, businesses, and assets
Assist in the marketing and planning of engagements
