Develops, interprets, and implements complex financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial planning and control, by performing the specified duties. This role involves conducting special studies to analyze complex financial actions and preparing recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action. It also includes providing interpretation of financial policies, governmental legislation, accounting theory, or customer financial regulations. The analyst will examine financial information to determine present and future financial performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements. Responsibilities also include evaluating complex budget plans, operating records, and financial statements, as well as preparing studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, and business forecasts. The position requires interpreting and applying County financial policies, government legislation, and accounting theory, and establishing and maintaining databases for future plans and forecasts.
