About The Position

We are seeking a Financial Analyst II to support a high-impact recovery and cost analysis initiative. This role is responsible for identifying and analyzing recovery opportunities, validating supplier claims, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience working with large data sets, and the ability to communicate findings effectively across cross-functional teams. This position is best suited for candidates with a background in financial analysis, accounting, supply chain analysis, or data analytics who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with purchasing, engineering, and supplier management teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in financial analysis, accounting, auditing, supply chain analysis, or a related analytical role.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with large datasets and identifying discrepancies or trends.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
  • Background in supplier recovery, procurement analysis, or manufacturing finance.
  • Familiarity with financial auditing processes and controls.
  • Experience creating dashboards or data visualizations using Power BI or similar tools.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze recovery opportunities and validate financial discrepancies.
  • Review and reconcile supplier claims, invoices, and related documentation.
  • Identify trends, root causes, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, summaries, and recommendations for leadership.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and supplier management teams to resolve issues.
  • Support monthly reporting activities and ensure data accuracy.
  • Conduct variance analysis and investigate unusual transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all recovery and audit activities.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
  • Present findings and recommendations in a clear and professional manner.
