About The Position

This role involves financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting within a manufacturing environment. The Financial Analyst 2 will be responsible for designing reports, mapping accounts, developing journal entries, and managing various systems for departmental charges. Key responsibilities include analyzing spending variances, developing cost projections, and determining manpower and salary expenses. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and prior experience with Oracle and Syteline software. The role also demands self-direction and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Business/Accounting and two years financial reporting and/or budgets
  • Equivalent experience of six years in financial reporting and/or budgets in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong skills and knowledge of accounting theory and application of financial principles
  • Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs. when needed
  • Constantly stand and walk throughout the workday
  • It is required to stand, walk & reach with hands & arms
  • Good coordination to operate several controls simultaneously
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel material

Responsibilities

  • Using Oracle, design reports, map accounts, develop Jvs, run various systems assigning department charges
  • Analyzing spending variances
  • Develop activity and cost projections for production and lab centers
  • Determine manpower, salary and fringe expenses by salary groups
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages to include Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
  • Prior experience with Oracle, Syteline software
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Self-directed and works well in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required.
